The formation of Suaedeta confusae (Azerbaijan)

Abstract

This formation is relatively rare in the annual deserts of the studied area. It grows mainly in moist saline, sandy, salty soils and forms jungles. The dominant of the formation – Suaeda confusa Iljin is a 10-40 (50 cm) high branched, bluish, naked annual plant. The leaves are 2 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, with a sharp or pointed tip, the surface is smooth, the lower part is relatively convex, the young leaves bend inward from the top and are usually translucent when dry. It is short, tapering towards the stem. Its flowers are gathered in a spike-shaped flower group. The inflorescence is divided in half. The seeds are black, smooth and shiny. It blooms and bears fruit in April and September. The formation is represented by 3 associations: a) Suaeda confusoso+Salicornia europeae; b) Suaeda confusa; v) Suaeda confusa+ Suaeda microphylla Up to 16 plants are involved in the floristic composition of the cenozoum. The total project coverage is 40-50%.
