Abstract

This study aims to determine the vertical displacement and acceleration of a 4-degree-offreedom half model, which includes two wheels and a vehicle body exposed to strong crosswind. In this paper, the truck is subjected to a sine wave with an amplitude of 0.05 m and wavelength of 40 m and truck velocity is 100 km/h. The research paper has analyzed the vertical displacement and acceleration of the truck under the strong crosswind, considering the wind velocity and wind angle. As the wind velocity rises, the displacement and acceleration of the truck increase.
