The increasing speed of technological developments, the diversity of tools used in the production and distribution of information in information management, and their impact on the speed of information production force individuals to learn the current developments regarding their work promptly. Considering the production speed, usage time, and half-life of information, the time required for individuals to acquire new competencies related to their work will decrease compared to the past. It can be stated that this type of anxiety, which is referred to as Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) in the literature, will be defined as one of the reasons for individual failure in studies. Concerns about Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) can significantly impact workplace stress. The effective use of social media by businesses, the diversity of information communication channels, and ease of use may affect organizational stress in a sense, as the effect of current developments that are not informed in time increases the performance expected from people in the following processes. This study explains the framework of the theoretical relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and organizational stress. A good understanding of this type of anxiety, taking preventive steps, and making the right intervention efforts will depend on a good understanding of the causes, symptoms, and negative effects of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) on businesses. In this study, ways to cope with the Fear of Missing Out are also mentioned.
