Performance Analysis of LS and MMSE Algorithms for OFDM System

Abstract

Recently, OFDM systems have been widely used in wireless communications. Channel estimation is very important for OFDM systems. Therefore, we analyze the performance of OFDM systems by focusing on different channel estimation algorithms in this article. LS and MMSE algorithms are frequently used as channel estimation algorithms. The performance evaluation of these algorithms for OFDM systems is also performed as the number of users increases. According to the results obtained, it is observed that the MMSE algorithm gives better results than the LS algorithm. As the SNR value increased, the performance of the MMSE algorithm slightly increased compared to the LS algorithm. As the number of users increased, the performance of both algorithms decreased slightly. The reason for this is that more parameters are processed and evaluated.
