Abstract

In addition to intellectual intelligence, each individual has other intelligences and different learning styles. This study was carried out to identify multiple intelligences and learning styles among semester 4 students of the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Agricultural) at Polytechnic Kota Bharu who took the Agricultural Waste Management course. Studies were conducted using online questionnaires. It contains eight intelligence domains of various learning styles that include 56 question items. A total of 28 students were selected for the successful study. The findings showed that the highest mean score for multiple intelligence was recorded in naturalists with 4.09, while the lowest mean score was recorded on music with a value of 3.00. As for the learning style, the numeric visual domain shows the highest mean score in the learning style of 3.22, while the lowest mean score is the oral learning style of 2.78. From the findings a few suggestions of learning activities have been carried out to suit the major intelligence and learning styles and the results for the next semester students found that there was an increase in CLO2C of 16% while CLO1C showed a 3% decrease and no significant change in CLO3A.
